We are thrilled to announce the appointment of Asmus Zoch-Gordon as the new Managing Director at C4ED. Asmus brings a wealth of experience and expertise that will be instrumental in ensuring the strategic implementation of company goals, key aspects of our organization, including acquisition, project management, and daily operational tasks. His leadership in these areas is essential to our organization’s continued growth and strengthening.
Asmus has been a valued member of the C4ED team for several years, having previously served as the Chief Operating Officer and Senior Evaluation Specialist in Mannheim, Germany. His deep understanding of both the operational and strategic sides of our work makes him a perfect fit for this new role.
Before joining C4ED, Asmus completed his PhD at the University of Stellenbosch, where he was part of the Research Group on Social Policy (RESEP) in the Department of Economics. During his time with RESEP, he contributed to significant international projects for institutions such as the South African Human Rights Commission, the South African Department of Education, and the Namibian government. Asmus’s academic work focused on labor markets, education, and income mobility, resulting in numerous working papers and journal publications. His research has been presented at major international conferences, including the IZA/World Bank Conference on Employment and Development in Bonn, and the CSAE conferences in Oxford.
We are confident that Asmus’s extensive experience and deep commitment to social policy research and development will greatly benefit C4ED as we continue to expand our impact in fostering sustainable development.
